THE PROJECT
This project was a final of mine for one of my design classes. We were to create a brochure for a vacation spot/resort of our choosing with a few design requirements. Being a part of the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) culture, the subject I chose was Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC).
EDC
EDC is a touring carnival in the United States produced by Insomniac Events in which it’s main home is currently held in Las Vegas. It is a 3 days event usually held in the Summer for one weekend. It is a carnival focused around the EDM culture.

THE COVER
Insomniac changes their EDC daisy covers every year. The cover is my rendition of EDC2013 in which I combined the covers from EDC Las Vegas and EDC Orlando and added a Ferris Wheel.

THE LAYOUT
I wanted the event to speak for itself so I applied a minimalistic layout with carefully curated photos to capture the audiences attention. There are a plethora of information about EDC but a cluttered brochure will get you nowhere. Again, applying minimalism, I chose only text that were informative but short.
COLOR PALETTE
The color palette I applied were black with an accent of vibrant colors. The color black was chosen because the event itself is held at night from dusk till dawn.
IN DETAIL
Since this event is focused around Electronic Dance Musc, the page numbers are represented by audio equalizers at the bottom inner corners of each page.
